The Long-Term Internship Program offers Ferdowsi University of Mashhad students the opportunity to engage in a year-long practical experience within industries and organizations related to their field of study. Designed to bridge academic knowledge with real-world practice, this program strengthens students’ operational and professional skills, enhances employability, and provides a clearer understanding of future career paths.
The program consists of three phases: an initial two-month introductory internship followed by two extended internships of four and a half months each. During the first phase, students become familiar with the workplace environment, after which the host organization evaluates and decides on the continuation of the internship. In the second and third phases, students receive a monthly stipend up to the legal minimum wage, defined and granted through a tripartite agreement between the university, the host organization, and the student.
Throughout the entire internship period, participants remain enrolled as Ferdowsi University students and continue to benefit from university welfare services. Selection of applicants is carried out by the academic department’s internship committee based on the student’s academic record, completed credits, GPA, and the priorities of host organizations.
Students who successfully complete the program may also benefit from additional considerations such as extended study duration allowances, support regarding military service regulations for male students, eligibility for dormitory services, and access to relevant academic privileges.
